Initially a premed student, Dalia went on to complete a BA and a Master's degree in Computer Science and Psychology, with a minor degree in Math. Her entrepreneurial spirit first appeared at age 16, when she established and managed a wholesale jewelry (gold and diamonds) business. Her knowledge and love of math eventually led her to the banking industry where she managed client accounts, as well as the foreign currency exchange in international banking.
Dalia is a supporter of worthy causes that are close to her heart, such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure, The American Cancer Society,Memorial Sloan Kettering, Make a Wish Foundation, and Penelope's Odyssey. She is also on the advisory board of Friends of Karen, and a board member of The De Rosa Foundation.
