Dana began her career in real estate in 1990 by establishing her own professional real estate company and then purchasing and managing residential investment income properties in Mendocino County. She also subdivided and developed unimproved rural parcels, interfacing with county representatives at every level. In 2014, she was recruited by a luxury property specialist of the San Francisco office of Compass. Now, Dana's focus is on sales in both San Francisco and her native Southern Marin, where she currently resides. Her most recent buyer transactions include several pre-emptive sales: one for $4,050,000 in Larkspur, one for $3,050,000 in Mill Valley and another for $2,050,000 in Lucas Valley, as well as a $1,850,000 multi-offer sale in San Anselmo which closed within one week at well over the asking price. Dana was also quoted in the Marin Independent Journal as the listing agent for a home in Novato which sold with multiple offers at $1,710,000, the median price for Marin residential sales in September 2021.
Dana is passionate about everything real estate and she brings a high level of enthusiasm and energy to her role as an agent. Having bought and sold many homes herself, she understands the emotional and personal nature of residential real estate transactions, and she pays close attention to her clients’ needs. In addition to her hardworking sales dedication, she uses her experienced organizational, design, and décor skills to assist her clients with the all-important task of preparing their homes for sale. Now, as a member of Compass, Dana has the ability to market homes globally to the world’s wealthiest buyers.
A true Bay Area native, Dana attended UC Berkeley and lived in San Francisco for 24 years prior to returning to Marin County. She has a deep knowledge of Marin and its various areas, particularly her childhood community of Belvedere-Tiburon; she grew up watching Tiburon evolve from its last years as a working railroad town into the highly desirable residential community that it is today. In 1962, Dana’s parents purchased one of the last lots on Belvedere Island and built the house that continues to be the family home.
Dana is a member of the San Francisco Association of Realtors®, the Marin County Association of Realtors®, the California Association of Realtors® and the National Association of Realtors®. She has been a lifelong member of St. Stephens Church in Belvedere and is also a member of the Belvedere-Tiburon Landmarks Society and the Redwood High School Alumni Association. She has a daughter who graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California (much to the dismay of her Cal friends).
