About Daniel

Daniel Shipman was born in Indiana and moved to Texas as fast as he could at the age of seven. He went to Big Sandy High School where he met and later married his high school sweetheart Shamel. He was a good student and an active athlete who loved the competition that sports offered.

After graduating from Big Sandy, he attended Kilgore College where he earned an associate degree in Mid Management and graduated with honors. Later he attended the University of Texas at Tyler where he graduated with B.A.A.S. with emphasis in Political Science and specialization in Industrial Technology. A few years later he returned and obtained his Texas teaching certification in Political Science.
