Darrel Louis

I entered the real estate industry in 1981- fresh out of college with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz. Selling real estate became the perfect place to match my enjoyment of working with people, my constant quest for knowledge and my love for the community. Over the years I discovered how to turn what could be a very stressful and frustrating experience into something very enjoyable and satisfying. I have a gift for bringing people and ideas together in a "win-win" scenario. I am a good listener, a skilled negotiator and a creative problem-solver. Being well-informed and professional, with integrity, compassion, enthusiasm and a strong work ethic are the values I live by. In 2015 I was the Sales Associate of the Year for David Lyng Real Estate and continue to be ranked in the top 1% of all agents. I was a Director for the California Association of Realtors and for the Santa Cruz Association of Realtors. I presently serve on the MLS/SURG Committee and lead Thursday Marketing meetings for the Association. I was a Board member with Big Brothers Big Sisters for 10-years, and I volunteer and contribute to various organizations including the Homeless Garden Project, Santa Cruz Volunteer Center and Santa Cruz Community Foundation. In 2013 I was awarded the "Community Service Award" by the Santa Cruz Association of Realtors. I enjoy gardening, photography, music, baseball, grandma duties and home remodeling. But most of all I love selling real estate!
