David is a lifelong resident of the Bloomfield area and began his real estate career in 1976. In 1978, he opened his own company under the name of David Bishop Realty & Auction Company. In 2008, the named was changed to Bishop Realty & Auction, LLC. David is a graduate of St. Michaels Grade School, Bloomfield High School and Western KY University with a bachelors degree in Business. As a member of U.S. Army National Guard Unit in Bardstown KY, he served in the Vietnam War in 1968-1969. For over 25 years he was the Tobacco Auctioneer for the local market in Bloomfield, KY selling from 6 to 10 million pounds of tobacco each year. In addition to his real estate and auction background, he is the Senior Vice President and Director for King Southern Bank in Bloomfield, KY.
