As you are well aware, real estate has gone through such a crisis and there has been so much news and hype about the market that I believe that we are about ready to return back to the basics (no matter what you hear on TV). I find that the best houses for sale in Florida are still the ones sold in the "Traditional" fashion by people who loved and could afford their homes. They are just better taken care of and with todays interest rates, the best value is not always the cheapest price.
I have sold many bank owned and short sale properties to customers that wanted a great price so that they could afford to make the home exactly what they wanted. Be warned that when you deal with a bank it is never simple. More often than not there are little snags that come into play along the way that keep things from happening on schedule. The headaches are often worth it as long as you are ready to invest mentally in the game.
