About David

David fell in love with the mountains of Western North Carolina in the late 1990s after moving to Asheville from snowy New England, and he has never looked back. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont, where he earned a BA in Political Science and Environmental Studies while also playing varsity soccer. More importantly, this is where David met his wife Rachael, to whom he has been married since 1992. Rachael, a classroom teacher for more than 20 years, and he have two boys who attended both private and public schools in Asheville. Both sons now attend Ole Miss in Oxford, MS.
