In 2001 Dave and his family were preparing to move into their newly built home in St. James. His boys, Austin and Brandon, were 1 & 2 years old, and he and his wife Sharon were beyond excited to move into “the best hometown in America”. But how time flies! Twenty years later they have so many fond memories of getting clams on the waterway, crabbing at the waterway park, rounds of golf that went until sunset or until Sharon called them back for dinner, offshore fishing trips for wahoo and grouper, full days at the beach club with sun and fun, or just hanging out at the indoor pool on a rainy day.

Here they are in 2021 and his oldest, Brandon, is graduating from college, and his youngest, Austin, is in his second year of college in Wilmington. Dave and his wife celebrate their 24th anniversary this week and 20 years in their home here at St James. They are now empty nesters but realize how incredibly blessed they were to have had the opportunity to raise a family in St James and Southport. Dave and his wife are excited for this next stage in their lives and someday being grandparents and inviting them to visit and enjoy all the benefits this hometown has to offer. However, there is no rush on the grandparent thing :). Dave cannot wait for Penn State and college football season, to go fishing offshore, tee the golf ball up, and most of all see you the next time your there.
