Dave did an amazing job helping us navigate both buying a new house in the Boston area (no easy feat with how competitive it is!) and selling our small condo. We really appreciated his in-depth knowledge about the area and about houses - whenever we toured a home, he did a great job pointing out pros and cons about each place (for example, he talked us out of a place that needed more work done than we realized!). He was always very responsive via text and email and happy to answer any of our questions, no matter how small. With his help we managed to successfully stand out among ~20 bids for a home and buy within 2 months of searching! We didn't even have the highest bid on the house, but he helped us figure out how to stand out despite it all. He is such a kind and honest person and we cannot recommend him enough.

We had a terrific experience working with Dave Shorey of The Shorey Realty Group as our real estate broker. In 2015 Dave helped us purchase a wonderful condo in the Cambridge, MA area and recently, Dave helped us sell the condo for top value. From start to finish Dave was excellent - professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and hands on.

During the eight years we owned the condo Dave also recommended great contractors for us to contact for various projects at our condo unit and for the Condominium Association. Dave's advice was invaluable and he was a please to work with. We highly recommend Dave!

He helped us arrive at a sales price through his extensive knowledge of the area which translated into a quick transaction. I cannot say enough good things about Dave! We got his info from a friend of a friend (first time I can honestly say that lol). He was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. My partner and I are first time home buyers and Dave walked us through the entire experience and metaphorically held our hands every step. Dave contacts for inspectors, lenders, and lawyer were all spot on too. He made home buying about as painless as it could be. Dave was extremely easy to work with and 100/10 would work with him again!

Dave and his team are incredible at what they do. We met and discussed the best timing for listing our home as well as some improvements that would be attractive to potential buyers. Also, the Shorey Realty Group partners with a staging company that decorated our home (we had already moved) and really made the place shine. Within 3 days we had accepted an offer.

The sale and closing process were seamless and stress-free all due to the expertise and hard work of Dave and the Shorey Realty Group. I can't recommend them more highly.

We are so happy that we worked with David Shorey to find us our new home. It was a tricky situation between the pandemic going on and we were looking from out of state. Dave stuck with us for over a year in searching, always providing his insight and sending us weekly updates. He was realistic about the market while also remaining upbeat.
Whenever we came up to the Boston area to look at houses, it would be a whirlwind trip with two small kids in tow. Dave didn't miss a beat getting us appointments for places we wanted to see, and he was so kind to our kids too! When we couldn't travel up, he even went to some open houses on our behalf and reported back his insight.
Dave has a wealth of knowledge on everything you might need to know about your potential house but didn't even think to ask or notice yourself...how's the boiler, roof, windows, the brands, the age of everything, quirks to be aware of, etc. He also has a great network of people to help you with anything you might need: repairs, inspections, mortgages, lawyer representation, etc.
Dave came highly recommended (a lot of my friends worked with him to find their houses), and now I'm passing on the same sentiment to the next person. I wouldn't hesitate recommending David Shorey to someone searching for a home in the Boston area!
