About Dawn
Helping clients buy or sell homes so they can get where they want to be is why Dawn became a professional agent. That was in 1995, when she moved here, and she hasn’t looked back! Whether upsizing, downsizing, investing, transferring across town or across the country; if it is important to you, it is important to Dawn! A “perfect transaction” starts with understanding market trends and economic conditions such as supply and demand in the marketplace and ends with you feeling the experience was easier than you thought it was going to be! Throughout the middle she will save you time, helping you navigate all the moving parts with organization, anticipation and strategic planning.
Dawn is dedicated to the responsibilities expected of her credentials and she is committed to representing your position with the highest care and discretion. Her dedicated marketing team showcases properties with state-of-the art tools and also engages with powerful local and global resources. Dawn is connected to the best service providers in all disciplines that you might need during your real estate transaction. If you want the best possible sale in the least amount of time, let her guide you through the process of getting you where you want to be. It’s her business to stand ready with relevant market information and recommendations to help you make good decisions. The opportunity to manage your real estate business is important to her, and Dawn hopes you see her as the critical resource to navigate your purchase or sale!
Dawn was raised a ‘big-city’ Midwesterner from rural Kansas City with an appreciation for fresh air, hard work, and the idea that anything is possible! She jokingly says she got to North Carolina by boat, but the surrounding mountains persuade her to elaborate! At 30 years of age, Dawn finished an extraordinary opportunity to serve aboard two select passenger vessels. One, a partial ice breaker, traveling from the Antarctic Circle to the Arctic Circle and everywhere in between, the other took her up and down the Mississippi River steamboat style. Then, free to choose anywhere she wanted to live, Dawn delighted in Asheville, trading in her rolling prairies for these gorgeous mountains and lively rivers! She settled quickly and launched into a real estate career. Then, she married Jim, an Asheville native, in 2001. They love their pets and their grandkids.
Dawn and Jim have a passion for the mountains and rivers of North Carolina, living at 4,000 elevation in Haywood County! Fun for Dawn is watching and playing golf, piano, reading, and her newest crafty endeavor, crocheting. Movies that make the cut include anything starring her favorite actors and/or a thought-provoking plot. She also loves to cook and bake. Dawn discovered a niche making award-winning chili and joined the International Chili Society in 2011. Dawn belongs to Antioch Baptist Church, a medium size congregation with give or take 350 members. She and Jim enjoy traveling and are particularly fond of the white-water rafting, ATV rides, and scenery of Colorado. Coastal towns are fun, too, where they opt for a sailboat or catamaran excursion.
