Dean Schmitt

Dean Schmitt purchased his first home at age 19. Over the years, he has invested in, bought, sold, built, managed and developed commercial and residential real estate encompassing multi-family, industrial, retail and commercial shopping centers.
Dean’s depth of experience from each transactional aspect of his real estate background allows him to better service his clients in all of their real estate needs.
Prior to real estate, he was the founder of a multi-store floor covering chain in the Midwest and an owner of a national baby store franchise before moving to Sarasota. His skills encompass working with builders, developers, architects, and designers on specifications, selections and cost estimations on thousands of new single-family homes and condominiums. His varied business and real estate experience ensures a unique perspective to his customers’ transactions.
Dean is a lifetime member of Trout Unlimited and the Federation of Fly Fishers. For 20 years, he served as a board member for Anglers of the Au Sable, and he has supported Ducks Unlimited and Grouse Unlimited in various fundraising efforts.
He is a member of the REALTORS® Association of Sarasota and Manatee, National Association of REALTORS® and Florida Association of REALTORS®.
