About Debbie

Debbie Gilson, often referred to internally as "The Queen" has been a New York State Real Estate Licensee in St. Lawrence County since 1991. She became a Licensed Broker in 2000. Debbie prides herself in keeping up with the changing times taking many continuing education classes in the field of real estate. She is a Graduate of the Realtor Institute and has earned designations as a Certified Buyers Representative and in Short Sales and Foreclosures. In 2006, the St. Lawrence County Housing Council awarded Debbie with the "People Who Make a Difference Award" for outstanding dedication in sharing their vision.

In 2001, Debbie, along with her late husband Peter, founded County Seat Realty in Canton. As Broker/Owner of County Seat Realty, Debbie has sold hundreds of homes throughout St. Lawrence and neighboring counties. She has been an active member in the St. Lawrence County Board of Realtors as past Director, President and currently serves on the Board of Directors as well as on committees for the New York State Association of REALTORS®. As an active member of her community, she is a member of the Canton Village Zoning Board of Appeals and Board of Assessment Review.

Over the years Debbie has seen many changes within the real estate market from technology to marketing to a shifting economy. Debbie has an incredible drive for customer service and has dedicated the last 30 years to making real estate transactions for her customers and clients a pleasurable experience. Debbie was recognized by the Women's Council of Realtors as top producer in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019.
