Debbie Shapiro

Since 2002, Debbie has been actively working with buyers and sellers of real estate throughout the metropolitan DC market. She has sold over $300 million of real estate and has had the pleasure of working with clients as they move up and move on with life’s changes.

Debbie’s professional background is a great fit for interpreting clients’ needs without wasting their valuable time. Through her successful career in technology sales with world class companies, Debbie learned the valuable skills of carefully listening, understanding requirements and implementing efficiently for the client. She was recruited to TTR Sotheby’s International Realty in 2008 and has become one of the top producers in the company.

As a result of her performance and dedication to the well-being of the clients, Debbie has been continuously promoted in the firm.

In 2017, she was promoted to Senior Vice President, by successfully demonstrating extraordinary knowledge of the market and continuously providing excellent customer care. As a steward of the fine Sotheby’s International Realty tradition, Debbie continues to demonstrate integrity and thoughtfulness in her transactions. She has fine-tuned her negotiating and listening skills allowing her to achieve exemplary results for clients who always have high expectations.

Debbie not only sells real estate, but she and her husband have elegantly renovated several properties in the Washington, DC area, including a historic property in Old Town, Alexandria. Along with her many interests, Debbie enjoys ballroom dancing and shares her husband’s love of cars. To serve the community in which she sells real estate, Debbie serves on the Board of the Sharon McGowan Breast Health Foundation, which supports breast health care for underserved women. She and her husband, a real estate attorney, live in McLean, Virginia, and represent buyers and sellers of distinctive properties throughout Northern Virginia and Washington, DC.
