In February 2021, Debi was alerted by the Mainstreet Association of Realtors that she had achieved the Designation of Gold Star Realtor Award for being in the top 3% out of 18,000 Realtors for Sales Transaction Volume for 2020! She was so excited to receive this Designation and will continue to make a difference in serving her friends and clients in 2021 and beyond! She is the Designated Managing Broker/Owner of Myslicki Real Estate, an Independent Brokerage, specializing in the sale, purchase, and leasing of residential real estate. She has had her real estate license since 1989 and have been a legal assistant for real estate attorneys for over 21 years (starting in 1982). She has lived in LaGrange/LaGrange Park since 1973, which means that she has seen a lot of changes and know the area extremely well. She has the knowledge and experience to help you sell or purchase a home and save money! She started her Residential Brokerage Business in 1996 after earning her Brokers License. Prior to that, she worked as an assistant to another Realtor. Her original goal was to work out of her home so that she could raise her children and sell 3 or 4 homes per year. It was never her intention to open a "formal" office and have other Realtors working with her. It just "kind of happened". Each year her business grew, not by advertising, but by referrals and word of mouth. By 2001, her business had grown so much that she needed help! She asked her sister, Kris Farraher Skummer, to obtain her license and assist her. In 2003, she moved the business from her home in LaGrange Park to our LaGrange Road office. And in March 2015, she moved to a much larger space at 905 Hillgrove Avenue Unit 1, LaGrange. Most of her business comes from referrals of past clients. She strives to be your Realtor for Life - not just for one transaction. She now has five additional Realtors on staff to better serve her clients. Every year, her business continues to grow. They survived the downturn in the market and the recession while many other companies were consolidating offices and closing their doors.
