I have worked with several Realtors in the past, and a common strategy is to list the home and wait for some other agent to sell it. Deb Cooper is NOT that type of Realtor.
I worked with Deb Cooper to both sell my historic home, and buy a condo suitable to a new, downsized chapter of my life. Deb helped me negotiate both transactions simultaneously. First, she came up with three strategies to sell the existing house. For each strategy she was able to draw from her wide network of professional contacts to bring in people who gave me concrete proposals about what their strategy would cost, and what I could expect to gain from it. Deb helped me understand the costs and benefits of each proposal, and when I made a decision about which direction to go, she gave me valuable advice on how to stage the home, and arranged interior, exterior and aerial drone photography. She strategized a pre-listing showing of the home to several buyers, and then once the home was actually listed she cut the listing off after 3 days and we realized a profit of more than $200,000 over our listing price. I would never have known how to do any of those things without Deb.
Then, when I decided (with Deb’s guidance) on a condo to buy, all I needed to say to Deb was “this is the one” and she presented the offer, negotiated with the sellers, and closed the deal without a hitch.
I know Deb has negotiated deals on multi-million dollar properties, and I did not have that sort of property. Yet, she made me feel like I was the most important client she had. She contacted me almost every day, and when I didn’t reply she called! And through all of this stressful situation she maintained a cheerful confidence, and made me feel like I had a valuable ally. And I did. I can’t thank her enough.
