Dejuan Yates

Dejuan Yates is a lifetime Southern California resident. Dejuan originates from the Westside beach city of Venice. As a youth Dejuan grew up in Venice but then moved to the Los Angeles suburb of Thousand Oaks with his family. As a young child Dejuan took sports as a youth; football in particular. However he enjoyed other outdoor activites such as skateboarding, bike riding, and fishing. Dejuan was influenced by many mentors but none more important than his late Grandmother Mary McLemore. Mary Mclemore migrated from Texas in the 60's and came to California as a 19 year old teenager. By the time she was an adult she was a self made real estate tycoon with an extensive portfolio owing property from Venice to Thousand Oaks. So in a way you could say real estate was the family business.

As Dejuan grew older in to a teenager he became more focused on football as it became his livelihood. Dejuan would graduate from Thousand Oaks High School and attend College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita. From there Dejuan would earn a scholarship to New Mexico State University in Las Cruces New Mexico. Football would enstill discipline and how to deal with adversity. At the end of his playing career Dejuan would graduate from New Mexico State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. Fast forward to 2020 when the pandemic hit Dejuan would take classes to earn his Real Estate Liscence. Due to covid shutting a lot of things down. Dejuan would not be allowed to take his Real Estate exam a year later all the way in Sacramento. Talk about some adversity huh? Dejuan currently works in the Mental Health field on a crisis team at a mental health facility in Pasadena. As an agent Dejuan has 4 transactions under his belt. 3 transactions representing buyers and one on the listing side. As an agent Dejuan is knowledgeable, helpful, patient and represents his clients with the due diligence of faciltitating their real estate dreams.
