Although Deke's job title as a Real Estate Agent is recent, he has been in the Real Estate industry for over 10 years, where he has experienced the same joys, stress, and frustrations as his clients, purchasing several rental homes as a property investor, selling several flip homes around the metroplex area, and leasing rental properties for his family to live in. These experiences across the whole Real Estate spectrum have given him the edge of understanding his client's perspectives, concerns, and dreams.
Prior to being a Real Estate Agent with Ebby Halliday, Deke worked in the housing remodel industry for Stone Channel, Inc. for 18 straight years where served as a Sales Manager, guiding clients in selecting the right stone to meet their remodel needs, from kitchen counters, to bathroom tile, and all while working with clients of all different types of personal taste and budget sizes.
It was while working at Stone Channel, Inc. that he met his wife of 15 years, Rosie. And together they have 4 kids in the Highland Village area. Lucky enough, two of each gender, Sophia 13, Matthew 11, Sarah 8, and Jake 7. Deke will not lie to you, things do get wild sometimes with such a big family, but he believes himself to be blessed to have so much love to go home to each day. Deke’s clients should feel free to bring kids along to all house viewings as he believes in the value of keeping home purchasing inclusive for the whole family.
Deke was born in Arcata, California, but moved to the Plano area in 1980, where most of his family resides and a place which he considers to be his hometown.
