I met Denise 4-5 years ago during an open house of one of the first houses that she was selling. On that day I told her briefly about my specific needs and she gave me her business card. Since that day I have felt at ease with her, and I found out very quickly that she LISTENS with her ears to one's needs, and takes those requests to heart without forgetting about them.

We have seen many, many houses with her and there has NEVER been a hint of her pressuring us! She would look at the houses and give us her unbiased opinion (even if it meant losing a sale). She spent all the time that was needed to go through the house, pointing out the positives and negatives of each house. After the showings she was very prompt in providing us with all the information we needed. She traveled numerous times all the way from Burlington MA to the Hopkinton/ Holliston MA area where we finally ended up buying a house. She Always had a warm and upbeat attitude, no matter how many times we said ‘no’ to the houses. Once we had zeroed in on the house we were going to buy, she was there to provide us with all the connections that we needed. She has the best team!

We were so happy with her hard work, efficiency, insight and knowledge that soon after buying the new house, when we needed to sell the old one, without hesitation we continued with her as our agent. She was as competent in helping us sell our house as she had been in our purchase. It took us many years to decide on the house we were going to buy, but it took only about 45 days from the time the house went on the market to the time it got sold! Again, Denise was fantastic!! If, in the future, we ever have to buy or sell our house, we would definitely choose her as our Agent again! Another sweet thing that has happened is that she has also become a trusted friend. I will be recommending Denise to my family and friends for many years to come! My boyfriend and I were first-time home buyers so we had a lot to learn during this process. From the minute we met Denise, we knew we were in the right hands. She is not only well-qualified and knowledgeable in her field, but she made this experience educational, personable and fun for us! The market right now is stressful and Denise continuously reassured us that the right home would find us. After about only one month of meeting Denise, we had our 2nd offer accepted (AND under asking!). The closing process was quick for us - about 4 weeks - and Denise and her team made it all possible. Denise helped me with the purchase of my condo last year and was my agent for the sale of my deceased brother’s condo more recently. She is meticulous with details and gives very good advice on pricing, staging, negotiating etc. She provided good referrals for cleaners and repairmen and even stepped up herself (really, she climbed a ladder) to resolve a last-minute issue with a fan light that I thought was going to be a far more expensive problem. Most of all, Denise is warm, engaging, and a good listener who tries her best to get or do what you want but who will also be realistic with her client.

I can’t say enough good things about the experience we had buying our first home with Denise. My boyfriend and I had started our home search process, and my mom had suggested contacting Denise, as we’ve known her family for years. Being our first time getting into buying a home, we were nervous and not entirely sure where to begin. We met with Denise and from the start she assured us she was here for us and we would figure this crazy market out. She was determined and her kind and energetic personality won us over almost immediately. She explained every single step of the process probably more than once, answered every question, and got us to every open house we wanted to look at. She is a massive source of knowledge and has a huge network of other trusted professionals. We put our faith in her and we were not disappointed! Denise helped us get our second ever offer accepted, and I am still in disbelief I’m sitting in my own home writing this review and singing her praise. For us being first time homebuyers, younger, unmarried, in not the most “traditional” setup to want to buy a home, we were afraid we’d have trouble being taken seriously. Denise and everyone she suggested we work with (lender, attorney, etc) were all wonderful and we had no issues expressing what we wanted or needed. I simply can’t recommend Denise enough!! She is my first suggestion for everyone I speak to looking to buy or sell their home, and I look forward to having her handle all of my real estate needs in the future. Denise is a realtor unlike any other. To say that she was absolutely phenomenal is an understatement. She is exceptional at her job which is evident in her success. We met Denise while selling a family home in the spring of 2021. She made suggestions as to the best way to prepare the house for sale. These suggestions led to improvements that paid off in a much higher sales price for the property.
As we do not sell homes often, Denise walked us through the process from advice on the best way to stage the house, to setting the asking price, to evaluating offers, to helping with the closing process. We communicated almost daily, even during the time between offer acceptance and closing. Open and honest communication is, in our opinion, one of the most important traits in business.
In our opinion Denise went above and beyond what our expectations of what a realtor does. She even added plants to the indoor planters and maintained them to assist us in selling the property. Our initial phone call to Denise McCarthy was the moment our real estate search completely turned around. Up until that point, we had a hard time finding the right realtor that understood us and our real estate needs in buying our first home. It was very frustrating and we were beginning to lose hope.

We found Denise by researching various realtor reviews across multiple real estate companies. After reading all of Denise’s reviews, we were very impressed and decided to give her a call. It was one of the smartest things we ever did. During that initial call, we were immediately drawn to Denise’s professionalism as well as her warm and friendly personality; she was an absolute breath of fresh air. A day later, we had an introductory zoom meeting. During that meeting, she came well prepared with an itinerary. She was extremely patient and listened intently to our wants and needs for our new home. She explained real estate terms to us thoroughly. By the end of the meeting, we knew we were ready to re-enter this competitive market with Denise now in our corner.

"I agree with all the memes describing 2020 as the worst year ever. However, I managed to find a bright spot when I was introduced to Denise McCarthy with RE/MAX Encore

My Mom passed at the end of 2019, so in 2020 I had to rearrange some living arrangements to be able to take care of my 81 year old father. I was introduced to Denise through a friend at the bank and I don't think I've ever been so appreciative of a referral.

I put my Condo in Beverly, MA on the market as the Coronavirus pandemic was starting. After accepting an offer over the asking price, I moved out in March, right as the state was going into lockdown. I couldn't get a fire inspector to the house because of the restrictions and Denise was problem solving right through to the close. When I was starting to stress she would calm me right down becoming not just my broker, but my partner in the process.

Then we searched until we found a lovely niche property on the Groveland/Haverhill, MA line with a dock on the Merrimack River and an additional living space over the garage. Not an easy task with low inventory because of the pandemic and a client worried about virus exposure living with a high risk family member.

I moved my father and I from his home of 42 years in Danvers, MA to our new home in July. Less than a week later we were accepting an offer over asking price for his house. This house needs some repairs and some upgrading, but Denise was always so supportive and made sure we were approaching the process the right way.

What I appreciate most was the kindness surrounding my childhood home. Denise understood the emotions that went with this particular part of the process and was so kind and sweet with us. I can't properly describe the tears of joy/appreciation when she gave me a framed artist's sketch of the house as I was preparing to move into our new home.

We are still getting settled with my best friend and her husband rounding out our little support system here in Haverhill. We are all proud of what we accomplished during this crazy year, but I know that Denise was the shining star throughout all it, guiding us through.

Denise is the standard to which all others should be measured - if you need an agent/broker I can't recommend her enough!!!"

My wife found Denise online as she was trying to find an agent to help with the process of buying our new home. Denise's name quickly caught her attention because of the great reviews that other customers have been posting.
It didn't take long for them to meet up and start looking for homes. I met with Denise a few days later and I was very impressed with her knowledge and her dedication. Denise is very friendly, patient, and kind. I have to admit that the process was very long and tedious due to the short inventory on the market. However, Denise has demonstrated that she has all it takes to handle the situation from start to finish. We have checked a lot of houses and while we couldn't find a good match yet, Denise was always patient and always encouraged us to keep on looking.
Once we found the right home, she got on top of everything and made sure that the purchase goes as smoothly as possible.
