Douglas Shepherd

Doug is the President of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Champions. Founder. owner and broker of Shepherd Realty Group, Shepherd Realty Group Property Management and President of Outlook Escrow Inc.
Starting in 1983 in Torrance California as a sales associate for a small independent company he worked to become one of the top salespeople in a large regional firm. After moving to the Inland Empire in the 1987, Doug became managing partner of Veteran Housing Center in Riverside. He went on to obtain his broker license in 1991. Over the years he has owned and managed several real estate sale and marketing firms. Doug established Shepherd Realty Group in 1995, Today he is the owner Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Champions with over one hundred sales associates.
He continues to list and sell real estate every day with a personal career sales volume of over $150 Million and over one thousand personal closed sides. He often attributes his success to a focus on customer satisfaction and high ethical standards and professional conduct.

Doug is incredibly involved in his industry, community, and church. His volunteer work includes being an Adult Leader in Boy Scouts of America and working with church youth programs. Currently Doug serves on the Board of Directors of the Fair Housing Council of Riverside County. Board of Directors Meals on Wheels Riverside. In addition to leadership positions in the California and National Association of Realtors he has served his local Association in many capacities and is a past President of the Inland Valleys Association of Realtors.

Doug has been married to Shelley Nuhn since 1984. They have two grown daughter that are also in the real estate industry. Outside of work he and his wife’s passion are the breeding, training, and showing of American Quarter Horses. Doug’s passion is still helping people buy and sell homes. And as anyone who knows him knows, he is not shy about telling everyone he meets that He is proud to help people own the best product in America… A HOME of THEIR OWN. And he really means it.
