Dylan Rumrell

Dylan Rumrell, owner of SouthernCross Consulting Group LLC, has diversified experience from interviewing public figures to helping clients navigate complex property issues, has provided him with a unique perspective on interacting with the public and private sectors. In his lobbying and public affairs activities. Mr. Rumrell benefits from his experience in real-estate development, broadcasting and public relations. Working with the St. Johns County (Florida) Industrial Development Authority, he resurrected the Vilano Beach Town Center, which had been proposed for 20 years. The county had spent time and money putting in all the appropriate infrastructure and Mr. Rumrell's expertise helped a private developer obtain $5,000,000 in Recovery Zone bonds to make the project a reality. As a result of this project, the county will see a return on its investment in infrastructure and the creation of more than 100 jobs. The Vilano Beach Town Center includes a Publix Supermarket, restaurants, and several other businesses (opened 2012.) Mr. Rumrell's consulting effort also helped the Industrial Development Authority close over $250,000,000 in bonds for local and state wide projects. Dylan has also started other successful start ups including French Fry Heaven, Ancient City Brewing in Saint Augustine. Mr. Rumrell is also one of the founders and partners in the St. Augustine Songwriter Festival.

Prior to opening SouthernCross Consulting Group, LLC, Mr. Rumrell served as Senior Project Manager for IGS, a local lobbying company that has over $100,000,000 worth of Business transactions, including Shands Hospital and Proton Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Rumrell was also an owner with Real Florida Real Estate Company of St. Augustine. He also served as Principal and Senior Manager of KW Development Services of Key West. This experience in marketing, real estate development, management and sales exposed him to working with a variety of governmental agencies. Mr. Rumrell's ability to generate fresh ideas resulted in his creation, production and hosting of four sports-oriented radio shows. He also organized the sports-broadcast departments of two Jacksonville radio stations and served as media liaison for the Golf Channel. While working in broadcast, he drew on his communications experience as a guest speaker and campaigner in local government races.

Mr. Rumrell earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Flagler College with a minor in public relations.
