About Edward

After graduating with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Ed Marteka served three years in the U. S. Army as an Airborne Officer and earned the Army Commendation Medal for his services as Commanding Officer of a 600 man Garrison Unit. He then joined a multi-billion dollar corporate leader in health care. He became Chief Executive of a Joint Venture (US and Japan) living in Japan, and VP International Business - Far East. After retiring from corporate life in Chicago, he founded a company to manufacture and market a commodity health product. With creative marketing, He enjoyed huge success against very strong competitors. After retiring a second time, he joined Bennion Deville Homes - market leader in Coachella valley real estate. Real Estate Interests: he always enjoyed investing in rental and residential real estate properties in Chicago and California. All investments have been successful and spurred him on to focus on real estate upon retiring from his successful corporate and entrepreneurial career. He has been with Bennion Deville Homes for nearly 10 years. His early success began with selling his first listing (a $3.0 million home) in a relatively short while. More listings followed, and the success which he has achieved in real estate is attributed to the same characteristics and traits that made him successful in business.
