Effy began her career as a Realtor in 2006 and has experienced many fluctuations in the market but was able to build a successful business that has served her well all these years. "My experiences taught me valuable lessons about closely watching and adjusting to market conditions while giving sound guidance to clients to better position themselves". In 2020, Effy formed a team with like-minded professionals to expand and enhance the customer experience. She took advantage of the uniqueness of her name and The Effy group was established.

Effy lives in Baltimore county with her husband. She has three sons and three stepdaughters that are grown and attending college or in careers. Prior to becoming a Realtor, she was a grade school teacher in the Maryland public school system. She holds both a B.A. in Psychology from UMBC and M.A. in Education from Loyola University.
