Ellen lives in the City of Falls Church, where for the first time in a long time she is not holding down the fort for her far-flung family. She wishes that the Pandemic did not have a hand in this, but she is thankful for the "silver lining". The youngest Heather is in her fourth year at Virginia Tech, where she is studying Engineering on a Navy ROTC scholarship and is a member of the Corps of Cadets. She is now the furthest from the nest. John, Ellen's husband, has returned to the nest, teaching tourism for Arizona State University in their dual-enrollment program at the University of Hainan in China. It is quite different teaching from a basement half the world away, but Ellen is happy to have him safely at home. And her twin sons have transitioned from their Peace Corps service to the USDA and FEMA, both working and living in DC. None of these eventualities were ever on the radar. But as John Lennon advised long ago, life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans...
Ellen is a full-time, top-producing REALTOR that provides concierge level service to her Buyers and Sellers. When not assisting her clients, Ellen spends her time participating with the local realtor association, volunteering in her community, supporting any level of baseball team she can find, playing in the great outdoors, exercising or cooking for friends and clients.
