We would honestly give Elma above 5 stars if we could!!
We felt a little hopeless when our ideas, wants, and needs on selling our home were once discouraged by someone else UNTIL we met with Elma! What other word but wonderful can be used to describe Elma as a Realtor? She brings a warmth and personal touch to what she does. She was a guide, support person and an advocate throughout the whole process. The market has changed in so many ways, but she has managed to allow us to get the best outcome we could ask for. In March of 2022, my mom voiced interest in selling her home so I reached out to a friend who introduced me to Elma. We told Elma that my mom’s large row home would no longer suit her, as an older, disabled woman, a smaller, one floored apartment would be best for her.
Elma knew of a place that would fit my mom’s need perfectly and she not only brought her an application, she helped her fill it out and spoke to the building manager on behalf of my mom and secured her a unit.
Elma then found buyers for my mom’s home and helped her begin the process of selling her home.
It wasn’t just a home to my mom, she built a life there with my dad, who passed 4 years before and whom we all miss very dearly.
My mom didn’t really want to sell her home, but it was time. She could no longer get around the house as she once did. Her health was dwindling and she was on her own.
The time came for my mom to move on to her new place to live and say goodbye to her home that she was so fond of. Unfortunately, my mom passed away before she had the chance to even finish packing.
I let Elma know of my mom’s passing and it became a whole new process…one that she never dealt with during her career.
We were both put in positions that we’ve never been in before.
I had to step up and complete the process of selling my mom’s home but it wasn’t easy.
I didn’t know what to do.
Elma, who was never in this predicament before, took the time to find out what needed to be done and guided me along.
We both learned something knew, I gained a new friend, and we finally sold my parent’s home.
I say all this to say that Elma wasn’t just trying to make a sale. She didn’t do it for the commission. She took her time and helped me as well as helped my mom. She showed me that it’s not just a job to her, she showed me that she cares about the people involved.
I 100% would recommend Elma to anyone looking to sell their home.
