About Emily
Buying or selling a home is a major financial decision--and often a deeply personal one, too. I approach my work with both in mind. My job isn't simply to help you get to the closing table; it's to help you understand your options, ask the right questions, weigh risk, and ultimately make a decision you feel good about.
I work with buyers and sellers throughout Greater Portland and Midcoast Maine, including first-time buyers, people relocating to Maine, and clients purchasing multi-unit properties. I take a hands-on approach to every transaction and dig into the details--from comparable sales and property history to inspections, disclosures, deeds, association documents, and the less-obvious questions that come up along the way. Real estate can get complicated quickly, and I believe part of my job is making that complexity feel understandable and manageable.
My perspective on homes is also shaped by my background in art, design, marketing, and construction. Early in my career, I founded an award-winning contemporary jewelry business recognized nationally for its design and craftsmanship. I later worked in marketing and operations for arts organizations and a Portland-based design-build firm, where I gained insight into how homes are designed, renovated, built, and brought to market. That experience continues to inform the way I look at homes--their quality, potential, details, and design.
Above all, I believe good real estate representation starts with trust. I don't underestimate the emotional or financial weight of buying or selling a home, and I take the responsibility of guiding my clients through those decisions seriously. My approach is grounded in careful research, clear communication, and candid advice--including when that advice is that a particular house or deal may not be the right one.
When I'm not working, I'm likely playing volleyball, exploring Maine's trails with my husband, or walking my border terrier, Brill. Please feel free to get in touch if I can support you!
