About Eric

Eric LaMay has lived and worked in the Fort Worth/Dallas area his entire life. He was raised by a single mother that worked three jobs to keep a roof over his and his two older brother’s heads. At fifteen his mother remarried the love of her life with his three boys.
Money was often in short supply, so Eric started early making his own way. At nine years old he made “macramé” plant holders and sold them to neighbors. At fourteen he got a job with the city of Haltom City cleaning the city parks. At sixteen Eric convinced his mother to let him get a “hardship” driver’s license so he could go to work and school. Following his mothers example; Eric finished high school while living in his own apartment and working three jobs.
Eric’s work ethic and desire in “getting the job done” got him quick promotions and management positions time and time again.
At twenty-two Eric was managing a men’s retail clothing store when he was recruited by a competing retain chain, “Merry-Go-Round Enterprises”. This would change his life forever. After thirteen months Eric was promoted to assistant district supervisor and just under two years later he was promoted to district manager and given a district of five stores. At that time Eric was the youngest district manager in the company’s history. Eric went on to take over districts, break sales records, decrease loss, improve productivity and promote others into managerial positions.
In 2004 Eric decided to make a career move into Real Estate. This was an obvious choice for him because everything he had done before prepared him for it. Accountability, Work Ethic, Dedication, Ability to see the big picture and work with others, and most of all “Customer Service”! These are the tools that he uses every day in his real estate business.
In 2006 Eric founded “The StarStateHomes Group” and has continued to operate his team/group under a few simple guidelines. #1, Client first, #2 Excellent communication #3, Integrity above all, #4, Do the right thing even when no one is looking. These simple core principles are the bedrock to his team’s success and growth. Today the StarStateHomes group appreciates an 87% client referral rate, numerous production awards, and a “Five-Star” client review ranking.
