For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for helping others, combined with an entrepreneurial spirit. I learned first-hand what hard work and dedication looked like as I watched my mother work full time as a nurse at the Reading Hospital while also going back to school for her Master’s degree, and my father start his own successful flooring business from scratch. I’ve been seeking ways to follow my parents’ example by starting a business and helping others ever since I was a little girl.

I remember creating paper purses for kids in my pre-school, I would sit at the craft table during free-time and the other children would wait in line to place their custom order. Meticulously folded wallet-style envelopes with a horse drawing on the front were my specialty, and I was happy to share my creations with anyone who wanted one!
Since the days of folding paper, I have graduated high school with honors and received my Bachelor’s degree from Penn State. I enjoy working with numbers, helping others, and have a spirit for adventure. During college summers, I worked as a leasing agent and rental manager for larger apartment complexes in Eastern PA. After college, I started my career as an analyst for Penske Truck Leasing. While this fulfilled the “numbers” side of my passion and was a wonderful career, I still felt a strong desire to help others and pursue more in life. When I met my husband, he encouraged me to go back to school to become a teacher, something I had wanted to do since high school. I became a special education teacher and worked for the IU13. I absolutely fell in love with teaching. Seeing my students succeed and overcome challenges and obstacles in their lives was one of the most joyful experiences I have ever known!
I thought I had finally found my small place in the world, filled with purpose and passion. Then, God threw us a curve ball, and we welcomed our own little angel into the world in October of 2018. My husband and I knew that we wanted to find a way for me to be able to stay home with our son, and we opened our hearts and minds to a whole new possibility. Building on the examples of hard work and dedication that our parents have shown us, along with the seemingly unrelated web of life experiences, we decided to start a small business buying, rehabbing, and renting houses in Lancaster, PA.

My husband, Jim, grew up in Lititz and has worked in construction since high school. He now teaches at Thaddeus Stevens College, a trade school in Lancaster City, and has a wealth of knowledge on home construction and repair. I never thought I would be able to blend my past experiences as a property manager, analyst, and teacher, but God had a plan and a purpose to weave everything together!
As Stewart Home Group, my husband and I buy, rehab and rent properties in and around Lancaster. Through growing the business and discovering the needs of more and more people, we decided to add an additional service on to the business, and I am now also a licensed real estate agent. When I met Naomi and the team at Life Changes Realty, I knew that it was a match made in heaven! Our combined purpose to put others first, offer creative solutions to tricky problems, and make a positive impact for the communities where we work has become a life-long mission. I feel that becoming a real estate agent has truly allowed me to combine my passion for numbers, helping others, and adventure!
