When his father was promoted at Phillips Petroleum, the family, including his mom and two older sisters, moved to Stavanger, Norway. Upon returning to Odessa, Texas he’d experienced the culture shock that moving and travel can have on a family. In Midland, Texas he studied business and real estate while working as an apartment leasing agent. Continuing his property management career, Ernest was continuously promoted to regions across the West like Palm Springs, Los Angeles (Hollywood, Culver City), Las Vegas, and finally to Portland, Oregon. During this time he was managing approximately 1,500 apartment units and commercial spaces across the Portland Metro region. He is proud to have improved the performance of many apartment communities and was a key figure in the sale and purchase of several properties across the West. Ernest then brought his original passion for real estate and his career experience in property management together. By becoming a Realtor in 2000, he brought together his experience in project management, budgeting, sales, financing, and physical site assessment with his in-depth knowledge of Portland metro demographics, taxes, and employment opportunities. He has obtained multiple industry-focused designations through continued higher education and awards based on annual production.
