About Frank
CORE mourns the loss of our colleague, friend, and leader, Frank Carr.
Frank passed away on June 5, 2026. He was a respected member of Maine's commercial real estate community and veterans' community, and a valued member of the CORE leadership team, where he brought decades of experience in development, asset management, brokerage, and strategic planning.
Before joining CORE, Frank built an accomplished career spanning commercial real estate, development, and property operations. He was known not only for his expertise, but for his thoughtful guidance, steady presence, and willingness to help others. Clients, colleagues, and industry partners alike benefited from his insight, professionalism, and commitment to helping others succeed.
A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Frank served as a Naval Aviator, flying helicopters and serving his country with distinction. The values he carried from his military service—integrity, discipline, humility, and commitment to others—remained evident throughout his life and career.
While Frank's professional accomplishments were significant, those who knew him best will remember much more than his work. A proud University of Michigan alumnus, Frank remained a devoted fan of Michigan football throughout his life. He was endlessly curious and genuinely interested in people. He loved college football, never turned down ice cream, and always enjoyed a good conversation. Whether the topic was real estate, military service, history, business, or life in general, conversations with Frank were rarely short and never boring.
Within CORE, Frank's impact extended far beyond transactions and projects. He was a trusted sounding board, a generous teammate, and a source of perspective during both challenges and successes. His influence helped shape our organization, and his absence will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
We extend our deepest condolences to Frank's family, friends, colleagues, fellow veterans, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
