Garrett Schoeben

I was born in Minneapolis, but didn't stay there very long. My mom was trying different careers and I moved four times and went to six schools in six years from 4th grade to high school. A lot of this moving around helped me gain strong social skills, which helped me early on, and made me realize I needed to be doing something that involved working with people. I graduated from Saint Cloud State University in 2015 with a degree in Accounting and minor in Economics. I finished on the deans list my last two years of school and managed to work full time while achieving this. I am a die hard sports fan and follow pretty much every major Minnesota sports team. I have been a season ticket holder for the Vikings since US Bank opened in 2016, and try to make it to as many games as possible each year. My love for sports is what fueled my competitiveness at a young age, and I have used that to remain motivated and focused in whatever I do. I worked a lot of warehouse jobs throughout college, driving forklift, and doing a lot of other heavy lifting. It wasn't until 2014, when I started at Capital One as an inbound sales associate, that I finally got a chance to do something for a living that involved a competitive nature, where you were awarded for hard work. Immediately I knew this was a field for me, and I became one of the top sales associates, and moved in to a coaching role within 3 years. We have since moved away from sales, and I now manage a team of 20 where I get to coach them on customer service and help guide them towards achieving their goals. In 2018 I decided that I wanted to pursue real estate. Learning about this field and what it means to be an agent, and work with clients, immediately sparked my interest. This would be another opportunity to work with individuals on achieving one of their largest goals and know that you played an important role on making it happen.
