My love affair with housing began long before becoming a licensed realtor. It began over twenty years ago as the Freret Main Street Manager at Neighborhood Housing Services of New Orleans (NHS), where I led a revitalization effort that helped breathe new life into a small neighborhood business corridor. I then transitioned from the non-profit world into the private sector, working as a Development Assistant, and later a Development Officer, with Michaels Development Company, where I managed everything from securing financing for large-scale HOPE VI, tax credit, and other affordable rental developments to organizing development teams to working directly with housing authorities, nonprofits, and local stakeholders. From there, I worked as a Senior Project Manager II with the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA), where I gained experience in homeownership development, collaborating with public and private partners, contractors, and non-profits. In 2015, I became a licensed Louisiana realtor and in 2017 started my own consulting company, where I leveraged my working relationships to help small-scale housing authorities revitalize their housing stock as well as sell the homes developed by my nonprofit partners. In 2020, COVID brought me back into the public arena, where for the next three years, I worked as the Director of Development and Modernization for the Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO). In 2024, marriage brought me to Chicago and it is here where I’m starting anew.
Why is all of this important? It has refined who I am. Experience has taught me how housing not only shapes community it shapes lives—and why finding the right property is about more than just square footage. I understand that it takes a team to get to the closing table. I understand that, as in development, every transaction is different. I understand how to build relationships, network, and negotiate. I understand that sometimes you have to walk away to get what you really want. I understand that although there is often a fear-factor – whether as a seasoned investor or a first-time homebuyer, clarity creates solutions.
Today, together with the Jackie Mack & More team, I bring my knowledge of the market, my expertise in housing and all of what I’ve learned to every client that I am committed to serve. I also bring strong relationships with lenders, insurance providers, housing counselors, and nonprofit partners.
