After going through the devastating trauma from the Lahaina Wildfire, we were suddenly faced with the most difficult decision of a lifetime; to sell or not to sell my parents’ home. We wanted a realtor who was dependable, yet understanding, of our position. At that point, Genesis immediately came to mind. Not just because he's my nephew, but also due to his many years experiences as a professional real estate agent. He’s proven to be attentive, sincere, honest, knowledgeable, humble, and ready to be of assistance while keeping a positive outlook. He is able to easily comprehend his client’s vision during the home buying and selling process. Whether it's a first-time seller or repeat client, Genesis can be seen on the forefront, representing his client in the most respectable and honorable ways! After we lost our home in the Lahaina fire, our family made a decision to find another home since we were unsure when we will be able to rebuild in Lahaina again. My husband knew Genesis for many years and we wanted someone who had our best interest at heart to help us find our new home. I’ve known Genesis for several years as we both worked for TSA at the Kahului Airport. His demeanor and professionalism carried him up the ranks from officer to Lead officer to Supervisor in a short amount of time. Once he sets his mind on a specific goal he will stop at nothing to target and reach that goal. This is why Genesis was our realtor of choice when we decided to sell our house. I knew from prior experience working with him that he and his team would get the job done. What we didn’t realize was how quickly the whole process would take. After only 2 showings on consecutive days Genesis obtained 7 very good offers. We literally closed the deal in 3 days. What was very satisfying was knowing that our house went to a family who lost everything in the Lahaina fire disaster. When I decided it was time to buy a home for my family I remembered seeing a post of a childhood friend from my old neighborhood who became a realtor. I wanted to make sure I felt comfortable with my realtor and that I could trust them as well. It was also important to me to have a realtor who was locally raised on Maui. I gave Genesis a call and made an appointment to chat with him. With how expensive Maui has gotten I wasn’t even sure if buying a home here was in the cards for us. After meeting with Genesis on 7/12/2023 I left feeling confident and inspired. I knew in my heart after talking to Genesis that I would have a home here on Maui. On 9/29/2023 we had the keys to our home. He also was able to get our home $90,000 under the asking price! Genesis always made me feel like he was looking out for what was best for us. Being that I work two jobs my schedule is hectic and Genesis was always willing to work around me even having house showings with me on FaceTime while I was working. Any questions that we had during the home buying process Genesis would always make us feel like our smallest questions were important. I think the most important experience about this journey with him was I never felt like I was working with someone who was trying to just sell me a house, I always felt like I was trying to fulfill a dream and I had a blessing making sure he blocked or smoothed out any obstacles that would make my dreams not come true .Working with Genesis was truly a blessing and I would definitely recommend him a billion times over again. When we had decided back in February 2023 to look into an investment property in Maui, we had no idea where to start. An Instagram search of “Maui Realtor” led us to Genesis. I sent him a follow request and an email. He was super responsive and got back to me that same day. Since we are from CA, he scheduled a virtual meeting with us to get to know us and answer the millions of questions we had. After one meeting with him, we knew we were in good hands. Throughout the entire process Genesis was readily available to answer questions, look at properties (and FaceTime us to show us), and so much more. It was so nerve wracking for us to be doing this from so far away, but Genesis and his team made it easy. From online searches to closing the deal on a property, he made it such an easy process. We truly had an amazing experience working with Genesis and highly recommend him for any realtor needs in Maui. We were so glad we got to meet him on our trip there in July 2023. Genesis helped me sell my house on Maui. We closed a few days ago and we are so blessed by Gen’s hard work and dedication. We weren’t on island for the entire process so with not physically being there to clear out junk and handle minor repairs it could’ve been a lengthy process but Gen and his team made it so easy and quick. We met every deadline and never skipped a beat. His communication was great and his experience and knowledge was much appreciated. He also helped my tenants rehome their dog and helped me sell some stuff. That made things a lot easier and the personal touch, especially with this home being a family home for generations made all the difference. Gen handled all of our family affairs with dignity which was HUGE. We would highly recommend Genesis for buying but especially selling.

One of the best decision we’ve ever made was clicking that follow button and inquiring about purchasing a home. We were hesitant at first—intimidated about something we knew entirely nothing about but Genesis (hands down) made it so much easier for us. He so graciously went above and beyond to assist us with all our inquiries. That he who he is. He is very responsive, attentive, informative and knowledgeable about the market which we so greatly appreciated as first time home buyers. I wanted to share this review so people can make informed decisions on choosing the best realtor possible. I myself am a realtor from Las Vegas and I’m currently a realtor in Maui. I had a Maui client when my realtor licenses did not come in and I found Genesis a few years ago via Instagram. I loved his posts and how he explained things to clients via ig, so I decided that he would be the best fit for my clients and I referred them to him. This guy was so professional and did a stellar job!

These clients were first time home sellers and they absolutely appreciated everything that Genesis had done! He was there for all showings, inspections, the appraisal and everything in between. This ensured that the property would close on time from his end. He was even able to get the buyer a much higher amount than what The property actually listed for!! When it comes to choosing an agent especially for clients that you care about, you want someone that’s going to show care, detail and treat them like family. Genesis did just that! I am extremely happy with my choice of referring to him, so happy that I am now working with him! I felt the need to write this review because it is important coming from an actual peer, when deals go smoothly and on time especially during Covid …. That says something.

For all things real estate, Genesis has you covered! I had the pleasure of working with Genesis to sell my condo on Maui while I was in the process of relocating. I actually “met” Genesis while networking on social media, as I was interested in learning more about a career in real estate for myself. Genesis was always very positive and knowledgeable about all things real estate, so when the time came that I made the decision to sell my own place, I asked him to meet with me to discuss strategy and timeline to sell. Genesis was very eager to help, and I could not be more pleased with the end results! He helped me get the price I was looking for with few contingencies. He marketed my condo and did a great job handling all communication and presenting offers quickly and in a fair manner. Genesis was a true pleasure to work with and I could see his professionalism with all interactions, ranging from his dealings with potential buyers and agents, to third parties such as appraisers and lenders in the transaction. He was always very polite with all neighbors in my complex and you can see it is very evident he is passionate about what he does. This review has been a long time coming, not because of Genesis Buduan, of Coldwell Bankers, but because I needed the time to decompress after the over year long process of selling my home four times. Genesis stood beside me with his creativity, knowledge, and GREAT sensitivity. At every turn he had my best interests in mind, he went above and beyond to make every escrow we entered successful despite problems that arose from the buyers side. During the fourth escrow Covid-19 lockdown came to be, and Genesis allayed my fears of the 4th escrow following the first three.

Upon meeting Genesis, you are immediately struck by his kindness and joie de vivre. He has this beautiful energy that people are drawn to.

After a somewhat underwhelming experience with another real state agent, Genesis was heaven sent. As a first-time home buyer, I got anxious and nervous about decisions I would take along the process, but Genesis is very knowledgeable and informative. He made every step of the way easy to understand and ensured that all of our t’s were crossed and l’s dotted prior to the close of escrow. He was always two steps ahead of any thoughts we had, and so we felt implicitly supported throughout the whole buying journey. Genesis would answer texts, calls, and emails anytime for any questions or to give reassurance. He was also not afraid to give his honest opinion. He did an excellent job of listening to us and guiding us. He provided us a thorough walkthrough and then stepped off to the side to allow us the opportunity to discuss our thoughts privately. He was neither pushy nor did have his interests at the forefront. I felt that he cared about the biggest investment I was about to make- buying our home.

Where do I even start? Let's just say that Genesis was amazing to work with! We felt very comfortable working with him from the start and felt as if we had known Genesis for a very long time despite just meeting him. Genesis was very friendly and welcoming. He didn't make us feel pressured and we felt that we could trust him and be open with him about what we did or didn't want/like.
This was our first home-buying experience and Genesis made it as simple as possible. We really didn't know what to expect throughout the entire process, but Genesis made it a very pleasant experience. He stayed organized with deadlines and always kept us informed and in the loop. Genesis was very flexible; he always accommodated our schedules. He'd also answer any and every little question that we had. If he didn't know the answer, he'd get it for you. Genesis is very knowledgeable and has taught us so much through this entire process.

I’ve known Genesis for many years. So when my husband and I decided to take on the next step, I knew I could count on Gen. we had no idea where to even start or knew any information on how to purchase a home/ condo. Gen took the time to sit down with us and go over every single thing. He was so patient and explained everything so that we could fully understand. He answered all the questions we had, which was a lot! My husband and I didn’t really know what we were really looking for when we first started. Gen made it possible to have us look at many different options to help us figure out what we wanted. He was able set up showings quickly due to my busy work schedule. He was very easy to work with. He set up email alerts for homes/ condos that were in our price range. I was able to reach him at all hours with home showing request or if I had more questions. He was very professional and very easy to talk to. I never felt rushed or felt like I was bothering him. When we finally found a home we loved, he helped set us up with an incredible lender. They both worked very hard to close on the house. My husband and I closed on the house 2 weeks early, which was absolutely amazing. Teaming up with Genesis Buduan to find my first home on Maui was a great partnership! He is extremely personable and took time and detail to find out what I was exactly looking for. He helped me to get an idea of what was possible and then made it a reality. I had dreamt of buying property on island for quite some time but being a single individual, I thought it would be a long shot and that I would spend months to years looking. Through Genesis' strong network on island, his aggressiveness in the market and proactive communication, he was able to find me a condo very quickly! I’ve known Genesis from being my cousins good friend and was happy to have someone near and dear to family to be our realtor. Our situation was a tough one, with being pregnant and my due date was around the same time as our closing date. But Genesis was so helpful in making sure we could provide and secure a roof under our newborns head. He has shown great professionalism while working with us. Being prompt with our questions and actively listening to any of our concerns is something that we admire.

Where do we begin? First of all we just want to start by saying that Genesis has been amazing during our home buying process. We’ve known genesis for many years, which was the first of the many reasons why we chose him as our realtor (We knew we would have a lot of dumb questions as we are first time home buyers and didn’t want to feel too shame to ask them). He was always a text/call away for any concerns and ensured us of timelines and due dates. One of his great traits is that he is very personable, so even if you don’t already know him, he has a way of making you feel like you’ve known him as long as we have. It translates across the board as he was constantly speaking to all parties of this experience, making communication seamless.

If it wasn’t for Genesis, this experience definitely would not have gone as smooth as it did. In fact, if it wasn’t for his attention to detail we probably wouldn’t have closed on our home as fast as we did. We could go on and on about why he was a great fit for us, but the main reason why we went with Genesis is that you can tell he loves what he does. He seems to always be looking for ways to learn new things to master his craft. It’s very refreshing to work with someone who’s as passionate about their career as he is.

Genesis is amazing to work with! As a first time homebuyer, I had many questions about the whole process, but he was quick to respond to all of my concerns and offer valuable insight on current market trends, etc. From quickly setting up showings based on our last minute requests to sending little reminders because I was nearing my deadlines, I really appreciated his patience and attention to detail which ultimately helped make my whole home buying process a breeze! Genesis was so awesome to work with. He has such an amazing personality that he made home buying so much fun. I’ve heard many stories on how the home buying experience can be quite frustrating, but that was just the opposite with us. Genesis walked us thru everything step of the way, and explained in detail anything we were unsure of to make sure we understood what we were signing. We even got to close on our condo 2 weeks earlier than expected! He was very knowledgeable and really got to know and understand our family needs. Which made it very meaningful. We definitely recommend Genesis to anyone buying a home or even thinking about it!
