About Godwin

Godwin received his education in Architecture at University of Washington (B.Arch) and UC Berkeley (M.Arch). For 10 years, he had served the Seattle design community as a City official at their Planning Department. His voice in advocating education public outreach has realized a number of programs that engage design professionals, homeowners and college students. His involvement in ‘green building' initiatives not only earned him national recognition as an' Emerging Leader in Sustainable Design' in 2008 by Design Futures Council, but also helped put City of Seattle on the map in that area. His critique for Downtown/Belltown design review also encouraged innovative design and revolutionized the role of Planners in a regulatory agency.

After his tenure in the government system, Godwin started his private design/consulting practice. He helped the overseas owners of a general construction company, an interior design firm and an hospitality investment entity launch their businesses in the US and later obtain their permanent residency. Godwin later launched a new career in a Seattle-based international real estate company NAREIG. NAREIG connects high-net-worth Asian investors to prestigious properties in the US via a robust online platform, innovative marketing + outstanding client/consultation services. Godwin was leading the Commercial Real Estate division for NAREIG, and specialized in land development projects throughout the Puget Sound Area. Today, at DBW Private Brokerage LLC, Godwin is offering full services in commercial investment sales, leasing, land sales and development management services to an even broader client pool.

Godwin takes pride in building meaningful relationships, his extensive experience in the building industry and his outside-the-box thinking. He is a proud father of two, and a big sucker for good wine!
