Twenty years ago, Grace Sergio sought a profession in which her entrepreneurial spirit, work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement would be rewarded. Real estate became her career and her passion.

A first-generation Italian-American brought up on the city’s Northwest Side, Grace was taught by her parents to work hard, be honest and to always look at life in a positive way. Over the years, she has parlayed those simple but all-important ideas into one of the most successful real estate practices in Chicago. Grace’s stellar reputation is based on her impressive track record, extraordinary customer service and refreshing honesty. "Don’t tell people what they want to hear. Tell them the truth," Grace often says. "They deserve it, and they will respect you more for your honesty."

Grace established Sergio and Banks Real Estate in 1996, and in the ensuing decade, she has built a boutique real estate firm known for smart, aggressive brokerage that puts the client’s needs and desires first. She has recruited and trained a team of outstanding agents and support staff who share her philosophies and follow her customer-centric approach to real estate sales and marketing.

Grace possesses a vast knowledge of city and suburban residential and commercial property transactions; is an expert in new-construction development marketing; and is very knowledgeable with zoning laws and procedures. She is also multi-lingual.

Grace’s sales accomplishments firmly establish her among Chicago’s real estate elite. However, a far more notable accomplishment is the wonderful relationship Grace shares with her clients, her colleagues and Chicago’s real estate community.

Grace is a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors, Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago, Old Town Merchants Association and Girl Scouts of Chicago Honor Circle.

Grace and her husband, prominent zoning attorney James Banks, live on the city’s North Side and have a beautiful 1-year-old daughter named Mia.
