About Gretchen

With over 14 years’ experience in real estate and over 15 years in finance and operations, she is not your typical real estate broker. Gretchen is not a salesperson. She sees her role as a facilitator, helping her clients do something they really want to do. Her service philosophy is that she treats people as “clients for life.”

When she is not working with clients, she loves cycling and travelling. Weekends you will find her riding around the area with her boyfriend or dad, or mountain biking in the surrounding trails. They usually plan their routes around good fries and beer (her two vices). Gretchen got two great kids who are a lot of fun. Her family did a month-long bike tour from Canada to California with three generations of Schmidts. She also loves cooking, eating, reading and being with friends.

A home is a big investment. Gretchen takes pride in investing herself in you as much as you are investing in your home. Getting to know you, using her intimate knowledge of Seattle and the Eastside to help you, advocating and protecting you in negotiations and closing is what she does. She provides information every step of the way and provide guidance so that you can make sound decisions. Building relationships with my clients is a lifelong endeavor.
