The thought of buying or selling a home can be overwhelming, but it does not have to be. Gretchen grew up moving throughout the U.S. and overseas with her family and Marine Corps Dad. This experience instilled in her the importance of having a well thought out plan to help eliminate the stress that can come with making a move.
Be it ending a lease, selling a home, or moving across country for a new position, Gretchen listens to her clients to understand more about their particular circumstances and strategizes with them to come up with a personalized plan to buy or sell. Always putting her client’s needs first. She is in constant contact with her clients, advising them every step of the way and when surprises come up, she handles them with professionalism using the expertise she has gained through her many real estate transactions.
Her love of real estate began early with Gretchen evaluating each new home the family moved to, negotiating with her sister so she could get the room she wanted, and excitedly exploring her new communities. After graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder she worked as a counselor for at-risk youth. It was through this experience Gretchen sharpened her listening skills, patience, thinking quickly on her feet and the importance of communicating effectively. Moving back to Northern Virginia to be closer to family, she spent 10 years working in marketing for a National Trade Association before making her move to real estate.
Gretchen’s energy and passion to help her clients achieve their real estate goals led her to be awarded Weichert’s Rookie of the Year in 2010. She has been a top producer ever since successfully helping her clients buy and sell throughout Northern Virginia to include, Alexandria, Arlington, Del Ray, Old Town, Fairfax, Mount Vernon, and Vienna.
She has lived in both Arlington and Alexandria for over 20 years and currently lives in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria. Gretchen shares her in-depth knowledge of the area’s unique local communities with her clients so they feel confident in the decisions they make and can negotiate from a position of strength to win in a competitive market.
