Heather's passion for real estate began after graduating from the College of Charleston with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and a Minor in Economics. After running her own successful jewelry business throughout college, Heather worked as a mortgage loan officer from 2004-2006 and quickly realized she wanted to use her energy and attention to detail to elevate her clients' OBX real estate experience.

Heather moved to the Outer Banks in 1993 from Arlington, VA, and has since lived in almost every town on this island buying and selling property. Each one has unique characteristics, and Heather knows them all like the back of her hand. Heather and her family are very active in the Outer Banks community. Heather serves as a member of the Outer Banks Relief Foundation and her husband, Adam, teaches 5th grade at Kitty Hawk Elementary School (Teacher of the Year 2016-2017!) while raising three active beach boys, Crew (13), Levi (11), and Vann (5).
