For starters, let me just say that Helen is the absolute best. I was looking to purchase my first home, we discussed the desired locations, price range and requirements for the house. In a competitive market during the pandemic, Helen always kept me in the loop as to what was available and made sure I remained focused in what I truly wanted in a first home. She even checked me one time when I went WAAAAAY out of my price range (😂). Most important, I appreciated her feedback when we went on walkthroughs - there were a couple of instances where she told me that a property wouldn’t have been beneficial to my needs in the long run, and I appreciated her feedback in the matter. She also kept my head afloat when the odds never were in my favor in a competitive market until she finally helped me settle in my first home. I truly appreciate Helen for all of her hard work, and you will too. Trust me, you can’t go wrong with Helen!

Helen was great to work with! She has an understanding of rehabbing costs, which was very helpful, since every home in our price range needed a lot of work. She is knowledgeable about the area and has a great instinct for quality and value of homes. She even reached out to siding professional during the home inspection, which resulted in us being able to find hail damage and have the sellers put in a claim. Highly recommend her!

Helen is an absolutely amazing agent. I was a first time home buyer and didn't know much about what the process entailed, but Helen guided me every step of the way. She was always responsive to texts, emails, and phone calls--she would respond promptly. Helen has a whole network of people who she's worked closely with for years throughout the Chicago area, and connected me with wonderful lawyers, mortgage brokers, assessors, etc. Her connections really streamlined the closing process for me. Helen is also a very honest and upfront agent, if there was something that she thought was unappealing about a property, she would share her opinion and expertise about it. I found this to be really useful because it helped me make an informed decision about my purchase. Helen is also a delightful person to work with, she's kind, supportive, personable, and a great conversationalist. She's also really dedicated to her clients, she negotiated back and forth continuously with the seller's agent and attorney and I really felt that she was determined to get me the best deal possible. Helen Sobel is amazing. My experience with Helen was great, as a first time home buyer I was nervous and did not know how to even start looking. Helen had the patience with me to go from place to place until we found the right one. Helen took the time to listen to me and actually hear me out on my wants and needs until they were met! Helen is very knowlegeable and had my back and was not looking to make a quick sale and would advise me of properties that were way over their market price range or properties that wouldn't fit my style after she heard my long list of needs and for that I am grateful. I also loved the fact that Helen understood my work schedule,which I work midnights, but she was always there at whatever time. If I would be at work at 2AM and would reach out to her about a property she would respond before I would lay to rest now that is great response. I must also add that she would make showings possible at my convience! Wow talk about service, I felt like a King! At the end of the process I felt Helen was more than my realtor but more of a friend who made this whole experience fun and easy. We couldn’t be happier. Helen comes with many years of experience in this industry (over 20+, if I’m correct). She would tell us which properties to consider and which not to, based on her knowledge of the properties, areas, and our needs. Our search took the entire summer. And every step of the way, Helen was on top of it, sending us properties, scheduling showings, always on time, and always honest. And never pushy. She showed us the good and bad properties, just so we can see for ourselves. Many times we’ve walked out of properties with a “yup, Helen, you’re right about that one.” A couple of those and I knew she knew what she was doing. Helen's expertise and knowledge was very evident from the start of our process to closing. When we met Helen almost a Year ago, we knew we wanted 3 bedrooms in Hyde Park but we knew little else, having not spent a lot of time in the neighborhood. Helen was very helpful (and patient) in guiding us through out options and getting us narrowed down to what area of Hyde Park best suited us.
