Helen Van Rhyn is a high-powered Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker and board-certified New York Residential Specialist with Brown Harris Stevens Brooklyn. She has consistently been one of the firm’s top producers and is respected by colleagues, customers, and clients. She’s been a member of the Brown Harris Stevens Honor Roll 10 years in a row. In 2013 she was named Brooklyn Heights Listing Broker of the Year. She has more than twenty years of real estate experience selling townhouses, co-ops, condominiums in some of New York City's most distinguished & historic neighborhoods including: Murray Hill, Tudor City, Midtown, Brooklyn Heights, Park Slope, Cobble Hill, Fort Greene and Jackson Heights just to name a few.

Helen is a native New Yorker and a graduate of Bernard M. Baruch College with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Management and a minor in Human Psychology. As a homeowner herself she understands the joy and pride that comes with purchasing and restoring your own home. She has completely restored her townhouse from replacing beams to designing the 20 feet, 2 story extension. Prior to owning her townhouse, she owned a co-op and served on the board in different capacities, including President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Her extensive experience with co-ops helps facilitate the entire co-op application process, and her record of successful co-op applications and closed sales is testament to the qualifications of buyers she presents to co-op boards as well as her knowledge and professionalism. Helen has been an active Board Member in the Brooklyn Heights Montessori School where her children attended preschool through 8th grade. She was also a Board Member and College Co-Chair at the prestigious Stuyvesant High School where her son recently graduated.
