If you want a worry free experience Herb is your realtor. My husband and I recently relocated here to Sedona from out of state.. We didn't have a lot of time or patience for relocation stress. My husband had to focus on his new job and I had to orchestrate packing and listing our home of 20 years. Herb was an exceptional listener and found us our perfect home in the perfect location quickly. I had a lot of questions and he had all of the answers. I still contact him if I'm unsure about making a local choice as we have come to value his opinions and experience. Herb Schock is a great realtor and a gentleman. Herb was my realtor in the recent purchase of my home in Cornville, AZ. It took me quite a while to find the perfect place and Herb was very patient, helpful, professional, responsive, knowledgeable and in general a great realtor. I was under no pressure at any time to buy a home even after he spent a lot of time and energy taking me from house to house over the course of several months. Herb is more than a great real estate agent. He is an honest, patient, intelligent person who has extensive experience as a builder. He knows his business and does it well. Because of his background as a builder, when looking for a home, we were able to ask Herb questions that a regular real estate agent would not be able to answer such as: is this home well built, will structural elements such as heating/cooling, plumbing, roof, stucco etc. need to be replaced soon. Thanks to Herb’s skills, the additional information we collected, came in very useful when negotiating the right price for our home. Whether you are buying a fixer upper, a remodeled home or building a home, because of his experience, Herb will be able to provide that extra expertise that other agents do not have. We worked with Herb to first, sell our home in the Village of Oak Creek in Sedona, Arizona. It took over a year, but Herb was very diligent in seeking out potential buyers, and we were very pleased with the price he negotiated on our behalf, which was just less than 5% below our asking price. Once we had a contract to sell the house, we entered into a contract, contingent upon the sale of our property, to buy a house that Herb had shown us several months earlier and that we love. There were a lot of moving parts that had to come together in order for the sale and purchase to work out, and Herb was very instrumental in working with all parties, to make sure that nothing prevented the transactions from closing within a week of each other. Herb is very, very knowledgeable about properties throughout the Sedona area, and he was always available to let us know about houses that we found appealing. He goes out of his way to make himself available and to work with other brokers to get access to properties when it was convenient for us. We have worked with Herb for three years. We have used his services to purchase five homes, three of which he also sold for us. He is a wonderful buyers agent. He is knowledgable about building, repairs, pitfalls, … and he comes prepared. Herb will climb on the roof, go under the house, check your plumbing and wiring... He provided us with many needed contacts for repairs on our flips. Whatever it takes to advise his client in their best interest. He is not pushy to purchase and looks out for you. Sheer luck brought us to Remax and Herb Schock on the last day of a visit to Sedona last September. We had just decided to look into relocating to Sedona from California. Herb was just what we were looking for: down to earth and a former contractor. We knew immediately that we were in good hands. For the next month Herb looked at properties for us, took pictures, asked questions, investigated issues and inspected crawl spaces. We returned to Sedona the end of November to look at homes and ended up making an offer. Herb helped us work through our part of the process, while he dealt with the paperwork, met with the inspectors, got contractor bids, etc. We moved into our dream home January 6.
