Hugh Dugan

Hugh graduated from Lehighton High School in 1958 and received his BS in Education from Kutztown University in 1963. Hugh has been involved in Real Estate since 1972 when he obtained his Salesperson License. He obtained his Broker License in 1984, and he opened his first office at its current location in Jim Thorpe. He has been the Broker of Record for Hugh D. Dugan Real Estate since that time.

Hugh has extensive experience in all types of Real Estate transactions. He currently manages his two offices in Jim Thorpe and Palmerton. Hugh was very active in the Carbon County Association of Realtors before the merger with the Lehigh Valley Association. He chaired numerous committees, was elected President of the Carbon County Association in 1987, and was chosen as the Carbon County Realtor of the Year in 1999.

He was honored by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) for his involvement in the Housing Relief fund in the face of the September 11, 2011, tragedy. In 2015, he was honored with Realtor Emeritus status by NAR, and in 2017, he stepped down to Associate Broker.

Hugh married Margaret McHugh Dugan in 1968. They are the parents of four children and have seven grandchildren. Two of their children are also Realtors and work with them in the Real Estate Profession. Hugh loves life and enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He and Maggie enjoy visiting casinos and rooting for the Eagles, the Phillies, and the Fighting Irish
