Born and raised in the oil fields of West Texas, Jackie Thatcher has always valued hard work, strong relationships, and serving others. Her interest in real estate grew over many years before she became a REALTOR® in 2015, combining her love for helping people with her passion for the Texas Hill Country.
In 2012, Jackie and her husband, Tommy, purchased a home in Horseshoe Bay and quickly fell in love with the area's breathtaking scenery, world-class golf courses, and beautiful lakes and rivers. After spending as much time there as possible, they made Horseshoe Bay their permanent home in 2014.
Jackie has been married to her best friend and childhood sweetheart for more than 50 years. Together they have raised one daughter and three sons and are blessed with eight wonderful grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She also proudly claims her three daughters-in-law and one son-in-law as her own. Family remains one of the greatest joys of her life, and she takes pride in the close relationships they share.
Before entering real estate, Jackie owned and operated a successful medical transcription business for 15 years. During that time, she also homeschooled her three sons through high school before they entered college, while her daughter chose to attend public school. Her commitment to family, education, and service has shaped her approach to both life and business.
Jackie has a heart for ministry and community outreach. While living in West Texas, she volunteered and later served on staff at The Life Center, a life-affirming pregnancy center, where she also served on the advisory board and worked as a client advocate in the restoration department. Today, she serves on the board of the Pregnancy & Life Center in Marble Falls and volunteers as a teacher, continuing her passion for encouraging and supporting families. She is also very active in her church and has led a ladies Bible study for more than ten years, helping women grow in their faith and build meaningful relationships.
