Jake has been working with Windermere Mercer Island for over 5 years, helping buyers and sellers realize their real estate goals. Transitioning from a background in education and sales, he always loved real estate and have been close to the industry since an early age. His mother worked for Windermere for over 20 years--so you could say real estate runs in the family.
In 2015, after years of working towards a purchase, his wife and Jake were fortunate enough to buy their first home. The West Seattle fixer needed some serious love, and while it took time to convince his wife to see the potential, in the end they added value and watched as the home became theirs. The experience solidified his love for residential real estate, and helped Jake realize his knack for identifying value where others may shy away. Not long after their remodel was complete, Jake quit his job to pursue real estate full time. He was so lucky to have had the opportunity to learn from his mom as he navigated a new career, and she continues to be an invaluable mentor.
As much as Jake loves real estate, he loves the Pacific Northwest. He is native to the Puget Sound region, born and raised in Seattle and Bainbridge Island. Jake has witnessed first-hand the amazing growth in the area, and while there is constant change, much of the greater Seattle area has stayed true to its roots. He is fascinated with this city and how every neighborhood provides its own nuances based on location and culture. Jake knows the area like the back of his hand, which has continually proven to be an asset in helping clients find their dream home or find the perfect buyer.
On a personal level, he is a big sports fan. Jake loves basketball at all levels. He has coached as a volunteer for years and at Bainbridge High School. He knows what it takes to prepare, improve, and win. He also takes advantage of the outdoors: playing tennis, hiking, boating, crabbing, and swimming our rescue pup, Coya.
