Originally from Marblehead, Massachusetts, Jim Berk brings over 40 years of real estate experience to Premier Sotheby's International Realty. Armed with an extensive and diverse combination of business acumen, as well as a 20-year career as a CEO in the distribution of plumbing and heating supplies in New England and nationally, he has been a licensed real estate broker in Massachusetts for 40 years and in Florida for 13 years.
Jim has also supervised over $15,000,000 in construction projects and has been a developer in Old Naples and Twin Eagles. He is devoted to his position as director of sales at the Peninsula at Treviso Bay, a $110 million luxury golf home development. As director of sales at the Peninsula, Treviso Bay, Jim has been involved for over two years since the project conception, land acquisition and now new home sales. He looks forward to a successful sellout over the next few years of these luxury waterfront golf course homes on a TPC course located only five miles from downtown Old Naples.
In New England, he served on various club and civic boards including a term as president of the local chamber of commerce. Having lived most of his life in his hometown of Marblehead, he brings a love of the water and boating to Naples. Jim holds a USCG 50-ton Captain's License and Merchant Mariner Credential and is ready to move you and your boat to Naples. He is also a member of the Naples Area Board of REALTORS®, the Florida Association of REALTORS®, the National Association of REALTORS® and the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.
Outside of real estate, in Massachusetts he was a founder and chairman of the Lynn Business Partnership, founder and co-chair of the Lynnway Business Association and president of the Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce. Jim was also on the board of directors for Lynn Arts, Inc., the executive committee for Marblehead Sail & Power Squadron and a past house committee chairman for the Boston Yacht Club. He attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics.
