We could not have gone with a better agent. He was prompt when we needed to get in touch or required a response to our many inquiries. He was knowledgeable from the minute details to the largest concerns. In our neighborhood there were a few houses for sale. After walking through some of the other houses, we clearly bought the best choice at practically a steal. We have an end unit town home with a beautiful yard and a great view. It is very quiet, serene. The interior of our home seems much more spacious than the middle units. The layout is more convenient and livable. We honestly believe there was no reason we should have been able to buy our house at the price we got. James did an outstanding job negotiating, and we feel as if we got away with something! James was dedicated to getting us into the best possible house, and he never tried pushing a sale outside our comfort zone. James seemed more like a friend than an agent. Working with James, it seemed more like an experience than a process. Because of his experience, he could draw on his past when we needed to know how to appropriately approach a certain issue. He effectively covered both sides of the plate with his knowledge of house structure and construction, as well as the financial and negotiation protocol. We always felt at ease with James' council. Something we greatly appreciated was his geographic flexibility. Although he was located primarily in Annapolis, he extended his reach up to Northern Baltimore County. We were very impressed with how he constantly made room in a busy schedule to accommodate our needs. For our home inspection, he made sure to use a thorough inspector to assure our new home was in exceptional condition before moving in. James Blackwell came highly recommended to us by our best friend, and we will definitely recommend him to our friends as well. --Katie H.

James made a very difficult process manageable. I was referred to James by a very trustworthy source that I knew would not lead me a stray. I was looking for a home for myself and my daughter. We looked at several homes and experienced many obstacles. James insisted he would show me as many homes as it took for me to find the one I was supposed to have. And that is exactly what happened. I settled just one day ago and I'm very glad the process is over, but I feel very fortunate to have had someone as reliable and knowledgable as James. I became affiliated with the James Blackwell team by mere coincidence. At the time, I was somewhat on the fence about purchasing a home b/c I know that it can be a very stressful time, we were planning a wedding, and I just did not want to be bothered with an additional stressor. However, I was invited to the James Blackwell Teams First Time Home Buyers Seminar and thought I would check it out anyway. Upon attending the seminar, I gained so much information that is applicable to buying a home for the first time, that I became fulfilled with an immediate sense of comfort about purchasing a home. All of the fears or worries that I had seemed to dissipate due in part to their outstanding presentation and highly knowledgeable team. Therefore, I decided right then and there to enlist with The James Blackwell team and their guest speakers as my team to help represent me and my spouse for the purchase of our first home. After much house hunting, my spouse and I decided to go another route and build our home. Building a home is a whole different process than purchasing a home as there are a lot more variables/parties involved. This process can be quite taxing on one's nerves, however, my realtor, Natalie Dickie, has been so helpful during this process that what should have been a very stressful time has basically been a walk in the park. Our home is set to be finished at the end of June,without a bump in the road thus far, we have still had plenty of time to plan our wedding during this process, and we are very happy with our decision to become Home Owners. I jump at the chance to recommend James Blackwell at every opportunity that presents itself. He has been my Realtor on a number of occassions and he has consistently been an excellent agent. He goes the extra mile to represent his clients and is always available when you need him. James gives you a sense of comfort that your real estate matter is in the hands of someone that knows the business inside and out. He has sold some very difficult properties for me, some distressed to the point of making a sale nearly impossible - especially in a depressed, buyer's market, but he makes it happen. He doesn't just put a sign in the yard and the property in the system, he personally markets the property and works to make the sale.
