About James

Jim Purdy is an Associate Broker and Realtor, selling property all over Tucson and Southern Arizona. He was born in Michigan and grew up in Phoenix before moving to Tucson in the early 1990s to study at the University of Arizona. After graduation, he worked as a reporter for a morning newspaper for 8 years. He then was a manufacturer’s rep for a jigsaw puzzle company that did business with Wal-Mart Stores.

He has served on the board of the Tucson Presidio Rotary Club and as tournament chairman for the Ted Purdy Foundation’s charity golf tournament in Scottsdale, which has raised more than $500,000 for charity. He has also been in charge of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra’s luxury car raffle.

Jim enjoys family time with his wife, Amy, and their two sons. He has played golf on every golf course in Southern Arizona. During basketball season, he officiates high school boys and girls basketball games and also referees football and umpires baseball games.
