About James

James "Buck" Schall grew up in the part of Appalachia north of the Mason-Dixon line amongst the hills, mountains, streams, and small farms of central Pennsylvania. While Buncombe County looks like where he grew up, several places around the country do. He chose to live here on purpose (with his wife and twin boys who are in middle school) because of Asheville. They moved to Asheville for the rare combination of creative food, fun, and arts. They moved here for the great outdoors, as well as for the open-minded acceptance of difference.

The Asheville area is great, and they have enjoyed living here since 2010. It is not perfect of course, so he's dedicated to doing what he can personally and professionally to make it a better place. He previously worked as a community mental health provider and became a real estate agent to combine his interests and aspirations and have experience with a variety of real estate transactions. He is fascinated by the challenge of matching buyers and sellers of residential and commercial property and sees doing so to improve the community by increasing home ownership and by investing in affordable housing.

He will listen to you and can help you through the exciting process of selling your current house or buying a new home. He can also link you with mortgage specialists who will find the best financing options for you. He likes to laugh and enjoy what Asheville and life in general have to offer, while also taking his work and your real estate goals seriously. He would be honored to collaborate with you.
