About James

Jim Schmidt became the Regional Senior Vice President for the Southeast Region in April, 2005 for NRT and currently oversees Coldwell Banker companies in Florida, Dallas/Ft. Worth and Atlanta. He is based in Atlanta and reports to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Judy Reeves.
Prior to this appointment, NRT appointed Schmidt in February, 2001 as president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Atlanta. The Atlanta Metro has 26 offices and 2,400 sales associates and employees. The Atlanta metro sold more than 20,000 properties totaling in excess of five (5) billion dollars in sales volume in 2004. He also was responsible for the operations of Coldwell Banker/The Condo Store, Coldwell Banker Builder Developer Services and Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT.
Schmidt is a 28-year veteran of the real estate industry. Twenty-four of those years were spent in Tampa, Florida where he worked as an agent, manager and regional manager. In 1989, he became one of the owners of Prudential Florida Realty, which was later sold to Coldwell Banker.
