Moving to Florida from Maryland in 2012 was the most overwhelming thing I’ve ever done. Selling my house, finding a rental in Pinellas County that would accept my German Shepherd, and then buying a place was a two-year process. In the end, I was unhappy with the result. I decided to become a Realtor myself to keep my clients from making the mistakes I made.
Since joining Century 21 Beggins in 2014, I’ve represented over 30 buyers and sellers. I’ve educated them about flood insurance, the difference between the standard and the “as is” contracts, the benefits of single agency, the inspection period, and myriad other details that make up buying and selling residential real estate in Florida. As a transplant myself, I especially enjoy helping folks making a move here from out-of-state. I also have a soft spot for first-time buyers.
I’ve lived on Treasure Island, St. Pete Beach, and in St. Petersburg, and I’ve helped people buy and sell houses as far north as Pasco county and down to Sarasota. In southern Pinellas, the biggest dilemma seems to be whether to buy on the beaches or in downtown St. Pete. More north, Safety Harbor and Dunedin are big draws.
As a boutique agent, I prefer to help only a few clients at a time. That way, I’m always available for a last-minute showing and can immediately respond to any issues that may arise during the process from contract to closing.
My husband Steve is a biology professor at Eckerd College. We live in the Historic Old Northeast neighborhood of St. Petersburg with our dog Lady and parakeet Isaac. We love the new pier, restaurants, and biking and walking around this fabulous city.
In this challenging, complex market, you need an experienced agent like me. Whether you’re buying, selling, or both, I’m the partner you can trust to steer you through and help you reach your goals.
