My husband and I thought that selling our home in Albuquerque, NM would be very stressful. We had many questions and concerns and didn't know where to begin. This is when I decided to contact a long time acquaintance who, without hesitation, quickly referred us to Jan Baker at Placitas Realty, Placitas NM. From the monument Jan entered our home she made all our worries disappear. She immediately took control of the situation, answered all our questions assuring us that she was confident that our house would sell quickly. She was right! Our house was on the market less than 24 hours when we got an offer. The offer was accepted and our house was sold! Without Jan's knowledge of the market, experience and expertise things may not have moved so quickly. Jan was always available to answer our questions which put us at ease. She checked on us frequently and even checked with us as we traveled out-of-state in route to our new home. This made us feel like we were more than just her clients. I came across Jan’s name as an expert on Placitas living and reached out to her by phone when we first started thinking of moving to Placitas from New York a couple of years ago. She took the time to help us get to know the area and answer our questions. Over time, anytime I would contact her, she always remembered us and offered helpful insights. When we finally made it out to Placitas, it was like connecting with an old friend! Jan has helped me both in the acquisition of a property and the building of a new home, as well as helping me to sell a home. In the first instance, she spent endless hours seeking out and showing me properties which not only fit my needs but, also fit my budget. In the end, we were quite successful on both accounts. In the second instance, for the sale of my home, Jan's artistic talents in interior design resulted in the most professional of stagings, which presents a property in its best light.

When in need of a real estate professional, there are countless agents in the Bernalillo and Sandoval County areas, so choosing one who will most correctly satisfy your particular needs may indeed prove to be some frustrating form of Russian roulette. In choosing Jan, I quickly learned that my choice was a comforting one. She has an uncanny ability to sort through a myriad of information and to make some sense of it to her client. She maintains a high level of attention to detail in all of the technical areas which would normally make one's head swim. In the large scheme of things, whether buying or selling, her background in design considerations and her sense of aesthetics bring continuity to the whole process, something one would not experience with the average real estate agent or broker. Her patience and good humor seem to soften the blow of either a purchase or a sale. I could not recommend her more !
